Vinales Valley, Cuba

I still can't believe I was fortunate enough to wake up to this view during several of my days in Cuba. Vinales Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Check out some splendid images that capture the valley and it's inhabitants at the UNESCO website.

Picturesque America

Picturesque America is a two-volume set of illustrated books filled with information and engravings of various American scenes. The books were published between 1872-74 by D. Appleton and Company of New York. The volumes contain a total of nine hundred wood engravings and fifty steel engravings based on paintings of nineteenth century American landscape painters. The engravings were made by John J. Harley, Joseph S. Harley, W. H. Morse, William James Palmer, Frederick William Quartley, James H. Book Pitch Development

Week 2: Spring 2017 JSU was closed on Monday for MLK Day so I only had class on Wednesday. Brainstorming Book Ideas

Week 1: Spring 2017 I've been looking forward to this semester since I heard what classes were being taught last semester. I immediately knew what kind of book I'd like to create for the book pitch class but I enjoyed the brainstorming questions we were given as prompts and have several other ideas I'd like to work on in the future. Round II

The holiday break is over and a new semester has begun. This semester I'm taking Special Topics in Graphic Design: The Book Pitch with Jamie Runnells and History of the Printed Image with Dr. Henricks.
