Grad School, Week 7: Project Discussions & Large Format Printing

My week got off to a bit of a rough start. First I was up all night Monday night doing research for my Design Entrepreneurship project and putting together a mock-up Wordpress. I was in the groove so I stayed up too late and then I decided to stay up all night in order to make sure I didn't oversleep for class. I left home early and was eating breakfast at Sonic in Jacksonville when I got a call from Karl telling me our house alarm had gone off. The alarm company called a minute later so I turned around [...]

Grad School, Week 6: Introduction to Adobe Premiere

This week was so packed full of fun art things in and outside school that I think it's going to take me a day or two to recover before I can get back to work on some of my research projects. Thank goodness for long weekends! Art 625: Design Readings & Research Our reading discussion for this week revolved around Design Context. I printed two images, one of the Gold Pavilion on metallic paper which suited the sheen of the Pavilion itself, and an image of Utsuomiya on luster paper that I absolutely love. It's so fun to print big since it [...]

Old Keys

#100DaysofArtPlay Day 7: Key Paintings Acrylic paint on card stock. I played around with a variety of brushes and a sponge brush. The first key didn't turn out too great but the antique key turned out cute.

Grad School, Week 5: Finding my Rhythm

This week flew by. I'm almost over my cold so I'm feeling a lot better but I was ready for the week to be over Tuesday evening. I think this week felt a bit long since I was on campus Saturday and Monday in addition to Tuesday and Thursday. I do finally feel like I'm finally catching up and finding my rhythm. Which is good because I signed up for four Coursera classes that all started this week. Fundamentals of Graphic Design by California Institute of the Arts Introduction to Typography by California Institute of the Arts Art & Ideas: Teaching [...]
