On this day next week, I'll officially be a graduate with a master's degree in Visual Communication Design! It has been a long and bumpy journey but I have loved every moment of it. Photography by Morgan Lee Photography.

My MFA thesis exhibition is a wrap! I was super nervous about my show but it turned out great and everyone I spoke with told me they enjoyed playing the game. It was great to see strangers playing together and having a good time. Thanks to the pandemic and COVID it's taken a long time to wrap up this project. There's definitely still room for improvement but I think this is a pretty great start. Visit this blog post to read more about my MFA exhibition and Lumen, the card game/teaching tool I created.

I invested a lot of time in this [...]

I was browsing through photos from my trip to Japan in 2015 looking for some vector practice inspiration and came across this fun sign from a Studio Ghibli-themed cafe called Straw Hat Cafe. It was super simple but still good practice and I'm happy with how it turned [...]
Interested in taking your software/design skills to the next level? I am a huge fan of LinkedIn Learning, previously known as Lynda.com. LinkedIn Learning is an online video course provider with thousands of business, technical, and creative courses presented by industry experts. The content is well organized with each course broken up into small 2-10 minute video chunks that are easy to digest. It cost about $20-30 a month depending on the plan you choose, but you can get a one-month free trial to check it out. If you're a student at JSU the university provides free access to LinkedIn [...]
