Armor: First to Fight

Another coloring/composite t-shirt assignment. This design was created from several commissioned illustrations by an artist whose name I do not recall. I colored and composited the illustrations in Photoshop, added and colored text, and fire. Tools: Photoshop

My first cyanotypes

Cyanotypes (sun prints) made at an alumni workshop with Dr. Henricks awhile back. I love the vibrant blue color. It was fun to create these whimsical designs. I've been wanting to play with this medium again so I just ordered a couple of packs of sun print paper, aka nature print paper. Unit Crest: Production Illustrations

One of my first product illustrations for a client proof. A Unit Crest is a type of distinctive unit insignia made of metal typically no larger than 1 1/4" that is worn by members of the military, or ROTC as in this case. The company I work for specializes in insignia of varying kinds, including custom insignia. Mural Project: Beginning Fall & Winter

Our mural features the four seasons of the year with bear and rabbit characters. Summer and spring are mostly complete. Today Karl worked on applying the second coat of green to the treeline while Taiki, Katrina, AnnaMaria, and I began painting the fall and winter scenes. We spent about five hours working on the mural before the heat depleted us. It's been slow and uncomfortable work thank to the hot summer sun shining down on the metal building. We have to take lots of hydration breaks to avoid becoming heat sick. We've learned a lot while working on this project. [...]
