The annual JSU Student Art show is currently up and both pieces I submitted made it into the show this year. My graphic design piece 'God is in the Details' got an honorable mention which is totally cool. And I got a ton of compliments on my photography piece at the opening. Yay! The Miniworks exhibition opens next month and I hope to have at least one of my three images, if not all three in the show. SPE National Conference, Philly
This past week I had the incredible opportunity of attending the SPE National Conference in Philly from Thursday-Sunday, with fellow students Amy & Charity, and photography professors Doug Clark & Sarah Miles. I cannot begin to adequately express how amazing the conference and trip were. I had so many first time experiences and did so many different things I feel like I was in Philly much longer than just a few days. Paste Paper & Books with Larry Lou & Mary Ann
Mary Ann Sampson & Louise Lawrence Foster (Larry Lou) just wrapped up a show titled 'Books on the Shelf.' The show was held in Hammond Hall gallery and was really awesome. In addition to this show they each did a workshop and I had the pleasure of attending both. Larry Lou did a 2-day workshop on paste paper at the end of January and Mary Ann did a cased-in book binding workshop this past Saturday. Here are a few images from each. Art Alliance Bake Sale
