Summer Haiku Video

This summer-themed haiku video turned out well. It took a lot of shots to get the lens-pull and camera panning just right. I'm still very intimidated by video but I'm learning and am excited to tackle more video projects. Ah! Summer grasses! All that remains Of the warrior’s dreams - Matsuo Bassho Assignment: Create a video inspired by a summer-themed haiku. No sound. Remembering Joshua

My sister lost her fiance Joshua to an accidental overdose. After his passing, she had to pack up and store all their belongings in a storage unit and move back home to live with our parents. It's crazy how quickly and unexpectantly life can change. This video was shot for a class assignment. My sister graciously volunteered to be my subject and appreciated the documentation of this very difficult time in her life. Assignment: Create a five-shot sequence. No sound. Class: Video for Photographers Instructor: Doug Clark Tools: Canon 60D, Panasonic G4, Adobe Premiere Pro

Grad Journal: Fall 2018, Week 5

Year 3, Week 5: September 17th – 23rd My busy weekend left me feeling exhausted all week. Tuesday-Thursday were a real struggle. My back hurt all week thanks to me overexerting myself at the Photo Club photoshoot on the 15th. I was chronically tired and had trouble waking and getting going each more. For my classes, I worked on video projects and 3d modeling in SketchUp. I had an hour-long lecture/demo/presentation in the Senior Projects class on Thursday. It was fun and went well but was a lot of work. And then there were other meetings, projects, and activities. I [...]
