Grad Journal: Fall 2018, Week 1

Week 1: Sept. 20th-26th My first week back on campus was great. I had a ton of energy and was excited to get back into the swing of things. Week 1 was essentially a week of class orientation plus preparing for and carrying out the Alumni Reunion & Pop-up Show. The whole week was packed full of activity, but it was all good. Art Alumni Reunion & Show

Yesterday I hosted my first official event as Art Chapter President of the JSU Alumni Association and it was a big success. I am so happy, and relieved, at our turnout and the flow of events, and our alumni show looked fantastic thanks to the amazing Morgan Worsham. Neon Cuba

Playing around with neon lines with photos from my 2016 trip to Cuba. I could see turning some of these into a postcard set. In the meantime, it's fun to just play around with spicing up some old photos. I dig the color photo of the fountain but prefer the grey toned images best overall. Which do you like best?

Game Design: Star Fall

My favorite grad school project thus far has definitely been this game design project. I love games and I love learning so I wanted my game to have an educational component. Star Fall is a speed recognition game that requires players to match constellations. It may seem like a simple matching game, but through repeated play and exposure players will begin to recognize constellation patterns which will hopefully aid them in finding constellations in the night sky. Grad Journal: Spring 2018, Week 6

This semester took off a bit slow thanks to a Holiday and two weather days that caused JSU to be closed Monday-Wednesday of week 2. Classes have now been in session for six weeks and I'm finally finding my rhythm, unlike last semester. Last semester was an adrenaline-powered nightmare.
