[Enclosed] A Juried Exhibition of Silver Gelatin Photography

One of my Advanced Darkroom Photography class assignments entails working with other advanced photo students to plan and host a photography show. We have now completed the first major steps in that we have chosen a theme, found jurors, created a prospectus and are now advertising our call for entry. This has been a fun project to work on. I've enjoyed learning more about this process and helping to plan out our own steps. I helped to refine our copy, designed our prospectus, printed, hung, and passed out fliers, and spread the word online through various means. Now we just sit [...]

We won a Gold ADDY!

Stefanie, Laura, and I won a Gold ADDY for our Hatched logo design -- part of a group project we began last semester.  I'm not sure what ADDY stands for but it's an annual American Advertising Awards event that is put on all over the country. JSU students won four of the twelve student awards given this year. Blake Dodgen won a gold addy in the campaign category. Stefanie, Laura, and I won gold for logo design; [...]

Pop Up Art Gallery

Anniston's second annual Pop Up Art Gallery hosted at 10th & Noble in Anniston, AL on April 17th was a lot of fun. I managed to snag the last little bit of wall space. It was made of cinder block but I came prepared with loose prints, stickies, and sticker labels. I had a great time sharing and answering questions about my work and seeing the work of others. Liberty Not Debt

My senior show project 'Liberty, Not Debt!' is finally set up. This project consists of an educational brochure, postcard, and website. The website is no longer online but here's a few pictures of my setup. This project was very research heavy. I spent almost the entire semester reviewing government budget reports and figuring out what all the terms meant. I printed way too many postcards which I gave out as take-aways at the show. Finally learned how to make graphs in Illustrator. Check out my awesome graph making skills below. Liberty Not Debt, brochure and postcard
