Liberty Not Debt

My senior show project 'Liberty, Not Debt!' is finally set up. This project consists of an educational brochure, postcard, and website. The website is no longer online but here's a few pictures of my setup. This project was very research heavy. I spent almost the entire semester reviewing government budget reports and figuring out what all the terms meant. I printed way too many postcards which I gave out as take-aways at the show. Finally learned how to make graphs in Illustrator. Check out my awesome graph making skills below. Liberty Not Debt, brochure and postcard

I'm enjoying my job more and more every day. It's so nice to clock out at the end of my shift and not take any work home with me. Fall semester [...]

I attended a sci fi/anime convention that some friends help run called CrisisCon in Huntsville, AL for 3 days and then immediately came home, packed, and left for 5 days in Charleston, SC. Charleston wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I had a good time. Architecture and art are my favorite things to see when I visit a new city and Charleston had tons of both. While there were tons of art galleries, and much of it was quite nice, a lot of it [...]

The VAS Gala Approaches

It's almost time for the Visual Arts Society (VAS) Gala which means AnnaMaria and I are busying photographing artwork and working our design magic on invitations, catalogs, and other nifty things. The Visual Arts Society is an organization that raises money for equipment for the Art Department & for Student Scholarships. They raise money by having an art auction every spring, that includes work by artists of all levels. I donated a small watercolor painting of a snail. I'm pretty fond of it, but am glad to donate it for a good cause. I had to write my first official 'About the Artist' [...]
