Project Description

Paperback book cover design for The Story of My Life by Helen Keller. A few of my classmates and I drove out to Ivy Green, Helen Keller’s home in Tuscumbia, AL to photograph and research ideas for our project. I was most impressed with the gigantic trees in the yard covered in ivy, which is most likely where the home got its name. I photographed the trees, the house, and the rest of the property and ended up using my photographs for reference for the digital painting featured on my cover design.
