This week flew by. I’m almost over my cold so I’m feeling a lot better but I was ready for the week to be over Tuesday evening. I think this week felt a bit long since I was on campus Saturday and Monday in addition to Tuesday and Thursday. I do finally feel like I’m finally catching up and finding my rhythm. Which is good because I signed up for four Coursera classes that all started this week.
- Fundamentals of Graphic Design by California Institute of the Arts
- Introduction to Typography by California Institute of the Arts
- Art & Ideas: Teaching with Themes by The Museum of Modern Art
- Welcome to Game Theory by The University of Tokyo
I doubt I’ll be able to keep up with all four, but I’m enjoying the two design classes by California Institute of the Arts. It’s interesting to see how other schools teach things, and some of the projects are fun. I’m already a week ahead in the first two classes. 🙂
Monday:
- AIGA Officer’s Meeting – discussed plans for the semester
- Studied in the grad lab for 3 hours
- Worked on social media stuff for the Art Department
Tuesday
- Library Database Training at Houston Cole, Carly helped me find some books for my research project.
- Discussed our Design Entrepreneurship project in Art 640; brainstormed web content organization
Thursday
- Design Reading Discussion regarding Design Context
- Video Practice in Art 640
