UPDATE: I’m planning to do a major redesign of my blog this summer so I haven’t been posting as much here. I’m slowly moving my grad journal entries over to my personal blog at carolandkarl.com so that this site can eventually be a nice clean portfolio site with a blog featuring my work and learning resources (at least that’s my current plan). Right now this is very much a catch all journal and it just feels kind of messy.

Anyways, last semester ended well. I created a lot of nice work that I really should upload soon but this semester is keeping me on my toes.

I’m teaching my first solo class: Digital Literacy, a course that introduces students to Mac computers, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and a few other things. It’s a beast and I’m working my butt off learning and teaching the material, but I love it. It’s a great learning experience for me since I want to eventually go into teaching and it’s awesome to see and help students expand their abilities.

I’m also taking three classes, two studios: ceramics, and Alt. Process Photography, and one seminar: Pedagogy. They’re all classes I’ve been wanting to take for a while but they’re all also pretty time consuming.

There’s a lot of other stuff going on as well, from Photo Club fundraisers, art shows, alumni event planning, conferences, and thesis revisions. Also, my husband and I bought a new home and moved over Christmas break. It’s been a crazy couple of months. Now that we’re mostly moved I’m hoping to get back to my usual blogging activity. Wish me luck!
