It’s hard to believe it’s already been a week since SPENOLA. I had a great time and enjoyed camaraderie and passion for education and sharing that are always present at SPE. I’ve just begun processing my photos from the trip, but I can go ahead and share some of my highlights from the trip — in no particular order.
- NOMA’s Sculpture Garden
- The Jerry Uelsmann lecture at NOMA
- Exploring the French Quarter
- Eating over a dozen different tasty things. Yum!
- I particularly enjoyed the very first panel I attended: Integrating Video into Still Photography Programs
- Chris Jordan’s touching preview of his Midway film project.
- Participating in the Curator Portfolio Walkthrough. Many thanks to everyone that took the time to view and give feedback on my work. It was greatly appreciated.
- Attending my first Women’s Caucus Meeting
- Scoring big in the Silent Auction (Early Birthday Presents for me! Mwahahaha!)
- And who doesn’t love the SPE Dance Party. I didn’t even know half the people I danced with, and it was such a blast. A big thanks to Jeffrey with the bowtie for pulling me up front and center. So much fun!
