Photograms exploring repetition. The circles created by the elastic bands were super fun, but if you look closely you can see some of my hair which was apparently still attached. It’s hard to see things like hair and small specs in the darkroom. I bought a new, untainted, bag of elastic bands so I can hopefully get a cleaner circle image. -fingers crossed-
Photograms are photographic images made without a camera by placing objects on the surface of light-sensitive material such as photographic paper and then exposing it to light. The result is a negative shadow image that shows variations in tone subject to the transparency of the objects used. Areas of the paper that receive no light appear white, areas of semi-exposure appear grey, and areas of full exposure appear black. Learn more at Wikipedia.
