Photos from our opening reception at Artworks. This show featured a variety of work by JSU Art Alliance members. Many thanks to Artworks for inviting us to share our work, and to all the guests that came out for the reception. This group exhibition was a great learning experience for all of us.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking this scene painting class in the drama department. It gave me a chance to paint BIG and to learn a lot of new techniques. It was also nice to meet a new group of people, including fellow JHS graduate Chad Miller. Scene Painting, Drama Department Professor Carlton Ward Spring 2009
Truth & Beauty, 2009 Class: Advanced Typography with Diana Cadwallader Brief: Make a statement with a poster based on an inspiring speech or other written/verbal message from an international of famous person.
Our final project in Graphic Design 4 was a quick photo illustration of a mythical creature to show off all our shiny new Photoshop'n skills. I chose a Chimera, and I intentionally left the goat head off because it looked stupid. I would really like to know the story behind how the Chimera was thought up. I imagine the creator was very drunk. Chimera, 2009 Woohoo! You opened this blog entry so here's an extra fancy Chimera image for you to laugh at. I mean, it's not horrible, but it is a bit cheesy. ;)
